About Kodia

Swiss ambulatory coding, made clear.

We are a Swiss company specializing in artificial intelligence for ambulatory coding. Our mission is simple to state but demanding to deliver: structure the rules of the official catalogs with precision and make them accessible to the professionals who code and bill every day.

Why we exist

The tariff is complex. Working with it shouldn't be.

TARDOC, the outpatient flat rates, and ICD-10 contain thousands of positions, codes, and rules that evolve with each revision. Coding and billing teams must navigate online catalogs, official documents, and organization-specific rules.

Kodia turns official publications into structured references that can be queried, verified, and analyzed at scale without losing the link back to the source.

What we believe

Principles we build on.

Verifiable

Show the source

Chat links each cited code to its official entry; Audit and Review reports display the references behind each result. Verifiability guides our work.

Swiss

Built in Switzerland

Made for the Swiss system, not adapted from a foreign product.

Faithful

Respect the rules

Cumulation, qualifications, intrinsic values, limitations — we model the catalogs the way they actually work.

How we work

Close to the catalogs, close to our users.

01

Track every revision

When a catalog is revised, we update the references used by Chat, Audit, and Review to reflect the version in force.

02

Stay accountable

We design for traceability first. The point isn't to replace your judgement — it's to put the right source in front of it.

03

Store your data in Switzerland

Data retained by Kodia is hosted in Switzerland, under the Swiss data protection framework.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

The things teams ask us most often about catalogs, hosting, languages, and how the three products fit together.

Kodia covers the official Swiss ambulatory catalogs: TARDOC (the fee-for-service tariff), the outpatient flat rates (bundled payment tariffs), and ICD-10 (diagnosis codes). Each is modelled from the official publication and kept current with every revision.
In Switzerland. The Kodia application and data retained by Kodia are hosted in Switzerland by Infomaniak, under Swiss data protection law. AI processing takes place in the European Union through Amazon Bedrock, which does not durably retain prompts or outputs by default.
French, German, and Italian. You can ask questions and read answers in the language your team actually codes in, across all three.
All three run on the same AI engine and official catalogs, and differ by when they act. Kodia Chat answers a question while you code. Kodia Review sits in your pre-billing workflow and checks every record before it's invoiced, producing a queue for your experts. Kodia Audit examines your billing history once and produces a findings report.
Yes — that's a core principle. Every cited code links to its official catalog entry, and every audit finding traces back to the rule behind it. Kodia points you to the source; the judgement stays yours.
Timing and outcome. Review runs continuously, before invoicing: every billing run, every record, ending in a queue your experts clear before the invoice goes out. Audit is a one-time engagement over past billing, ending in a report of systematic findings. Many organizations start with an audit — the report shows whether ongoing review pays off.
When a catalog is revised, we update our model and roll the change out to Chat, Audit, and Review at once. Answers always reflect the version in force, so Chat and Audit never disagree on the rules.
Hospitals and ambulatory clinics standardizing coding across departments, medical practices that want instant referenced answers, and billing and revision teams reviewing large volumes of records.
Get in touch and we'll walk you through Kodia Chat and, if you'd like, run a sample of your records through Kodia Audit or Kodia Review so you can see what it surfaces.
